Bella Alt, better known online as Balt Photos, is a 20 year old artist, designer, and photographer from Chicago, IL. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Art and Design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and specializes in photography, digital art, and design.
Some of Alt's notable works include Four Birds, commissioned by Carnegie Mellon University and permanently displayed in Wean Hall; #GRIT, a finalist in the Sony School Photographer of America 2023 Competition; the cover of Hayal Varsa, a turkish biographical novel; the Carnegie Mellon Racing sponsorship 2024-2025 packet cover shown to over 50 sponsors including Tesla, Ford, and GM, helping raise over $50k for the team; and the role of Head Photographer of the El Diablo 80th edition, which won awards by the National Yearbook Committee.
Alt currently works as Media Captain at Carnegie Mellon Racing, managing and leading a team of 10 individuals in the capturing and creation of media for the team, sponsors, and supporters. In 2024, she directed, shot, and edited the most successful rollout video for the team to be viewed by over 1,000 live attendees. She also co-led the crowdfunding efforts and led the media campaign, raising over $37.2k for the team. While managing the social medias, she grew the YouTube over 1000% and the Instagram over 150%.
